Don't blame the messenger. I'm sure you have lots of suspect
opinions. How about we cut off your internet access? CNN isn't even
the most egregious example of what you're talking about. How about
shutting down FOX because their "fair and balanced" tag line is false
advertising?

So you hate FOX. Unlike you, I don't HATE. I simply try to be objective.

I was taught that in a democracy the media exist to truthfully inform
and educate us so that we will be able to make rational decisions for
the preservation of our freedom.
Who taught you that shit?

CNN exist to make money. Maybe, if you read 5 newspapers owned by 5
different media groups - and located in 3 or 4 countries....you MAY begin
to get some approximation of the truth.

Too often, truth is on page 23 while the lies are head-line news.
CNN knowingly persists in propaganda
broadcasting and providing a forum to the relatively worst of American
humanity.
Jim Clancy makes me want to spew every time he comes on for this reason. His
anchor work on CNN during the invasion of iraq made me switch over the BBC
World every time. Clancy was terrible for propagandising to the max.
Recently CNN presented a very 'high profile' guest who
stated that 'the only way to stop terrorism is to find the terrorist
and eliminate them'. I think he meant 'kill them'. Perhaps it was a
cue from our wild west Jesse James President..'kill and ask questions
later'. What idiots! CNN deliberatly provides a forum to such idiocy.
They won't be able to do it.....and trying will make many more terrorists.
CNN cannot hide behind engineered rating polls for much longer. It was
once a reliable news agency and it's a pity to see what it has become.
It happend about 3 days after 9/11. They stopped questioning. they stopped
THINKING....and despite the occasional flash of real news on CNNI (*never*
the US edition) they are still a pale shadow of the BBC.
The fact is that the world knows that it has become subversive to real
democracy. Just ask Ted Turner, the founder of CNN. Some would argue
that this is democracy; tolerance of other points of view. But really,
is it? We might be better served if we say 'tolerance of other
knowledgeable points of view'. Perhaps it's time for an enlightened
discussion of what democracy means. Please don't ask the Supreme
Court!
The US isn't a functioning democracy.

If it was, how could over 99% of incumbent congresssional reps have been
re-elected at the last mid-terms. That's 427 re-elected out of 431 who
stood again.

Corrupt? You bet.

The answer? Right here: www.fairvote.org/pr/index.html

What's stopping you? Years of propaganda telling you a failed democracy like
the US is the best on Earth....It isn't...and its FAR from it. Botswana is
a better democracy than the United States. Check it out.

Fight the programming.....fight for change.

"Suspect"?

He isn't a global TV network that claims to tell it like it is.

True. It's the best of the American options...and still poor compared to the
BBC, CBC and Australian ABC.

I definitely think a class-action suit against fox for false advertising is
winnable.

Open and shut case. Just about any 5 minute segment of the anchors sneering
at people they don't like would be enough to make it stick.
